POLISH GREATNESS.COM IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE A CELEBRATION OF ITS 10-TH ANNIVERSARY !!
September 1, 2017 marks the 10th Anniversary of Polish Greatness.com
Polish Greatness.com has grown considerably with the addition of new features, such as Polish Culture (entirely devoted to Polish music of all genres), a section on book reviews, (this section on What's New) and most notably the addition of a blog started in 2010 aptly entitled Polish Greatness (Blog).
To celebrate this 10th Anniversary, I have created the Polish Greatness Database - Books which presents a vast grid of jpeg images of more than 200 book covers dealing with many topics such as Polish WWII history, Polish Military, Polish Medieval History, Polish Memoirs and much more. Book covers have been arranged in thumbnail format and linked to the corresponding pages in Amazon where you can read summaries of the books, information about its authors, reviews, and order books if you wish).
The theme that I have chosen for this 10th Anniversary Special is the Polish White Tailed Eagle (which is also featured in the logo I have added to these web pages).
It is fitting to pay tribute to an important symbol of the Polish nation. You should be aware that the Polish White-Tailed Eagle was on the brink of extinction until, through great efforts, this magnificent breed has been saved from oblivion. It is fascinating to note the numerous ways in which the Polish Eagle symbol is featured in Polish culture. I hope that you will enjoy reading these special features, and learn as much as I have!
Polish Greatness.com is a tribute to the Polish men, women and children who fought so valiantly for their freedom, despite all the odds against them. They are the reason I created this website. It is my mission to enlighten the world about Poland's history, and provide historical facts that shed light on the tragedies of a ravaged nation and its peoples.
History is part of our lifeblood. Without knowledge of the past, we cannot understand the present nor prepare for the future. The lessons of history help us to recognize and avoid dangerous pitfalls, so that we do not repeat past mistakes. I encourage you all to read history, especially Polish history. We must understand that the greatness of a country depends on whether its people practice the values of honor, decency, and respect.
Thank you for your interest in Polish history and in Polish Greatness.com!!
