Tomasz Stanko Quartet
Tomasz Stańko (born July 11, 1942) is a Polish trumpeter, but not any ordinary trumpeter. He is one of the best jazz musicians in the world.
His style can be described as free jazz, and avant garde.  He reached prominence in the 60s playing music along with famed pianist Adam
Makowicz in the Jazz Darings. And later collaborating with pianist Krzysztof Komeda on Komeda's pivotal album "Astimatic" released in 1966.

He formed many collaborative works throughout his career: in 1968, Stanko formed a quintet whose members included Zbigniew Seifert (on
violin and saxophone) In 1975, he formed the Tomasz Stanko-Adam Makowicz group and worked with many famous musicians such as Jack
DeJohnette, Dave Holland, Reggie Workman, Rufus Reid, Lester Bowie, David Murray, Manu Katche and Chico Freeman. In 1984 he joined
Cecil Taylor's big band.
